Parto Seyed Kazemi

May 11, 1926 — April 17, 2019

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Parto “Parijoon” Seyed Kazemi announces her passing after an extraordinary and accomplished life, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the age of 92 years.

Incomparable in every way, our Parijoon touched the lives of those who knew her so deeply that we are all forever changed by it. Her strength, her beauty, her elegance, her grace and her dignity were a source of inspiration to everyone. Her wisdom was a steadfast and bright shining beacon that guided all our paths through life and brought us home safely in the darkest of days. A princess, a saint and a mother to us all, she made you believe in Angels. The night sky may be brighter with her presence but our world is a lot dimmer now that she’s gone. She was a gift to us all and we proudly honor the legacy of this incredible woman whom we will forever remember as Our Parijoon.

A gathering to honor and celebrate the life of Parto Seyed Kazemi took place on Monday, April 22, 2019 officiated by her lifelong dear friend Mr. Parviz Kardan. A Funeral Service in her memory was be held at 12:00 p.m. at Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, California 91311. The interment was followed by a reception beginning at 2:00 pm at Shirin Restaurant, 21826 Ventura Boulevard, Woodland Hills, California 91364.

PARIJOON

Parijoon isn’t here anymore

She’s not in her bed

She’s not at the door

She’s not in the kitchen cooking too much food

Singing a song

Setting the mood

She’s not in the living room watching TV

Playing with her great grandkids

Nursing her knee

That’s not her laughter coming from other room

Nor is it the lingering fragrance

Of her favorite perfume

That’s not her crying while she reads the Koran

Or telling stories about her loved ones

Now buried and gone

That’s not her telling me ‘I need to eat’

Or giving me heartfelt kisses

Leaving lipstick on my cheek

Parijoon isn’t here anymore

She’s not with her daughter

She’s not at the store

All that’s left...is her voice in my head

An empty cup of tea

A pair of slippers under the bed

A lifetime of wisdom and memories to share

Her favorite ring

A lock of her beautiful hair

She taught me everything I know

Put the beat in my heart

And the weight in my soul

Throw the sun, the moon and the stars - out the door

I don’t need them now

Parijoon isn’t here anymore.
