Patricia Ruth (Drewa) Zimmerman

Patricia Ruth (Drewa) Zimmerman 82, a longtime resident of Simi Valley, died peacefully in her sleep on March 28, 2016. She has gone home to her heavenly father and to be re-united with her husband of 52 years.

Pat was born in Wisconsin on March 2, 1934. In 1953 she met and married her husband and best friend, Jack. In 1963, after having five children, the family moved to Simi Valley California.

Pat enjoyed traveling, sewing, square dancing and water aerobics. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Pat’s final journey will reunite her with her husband Jack and daughter Debbie. She leaves behind Debbie Merrill’s two children, Levi and Danielle; her son Richard with his 3 children and 2 grandchildren; her daughter Michele and her husband Don Elder, with their two sons and granddaughter; her son Val and his wife Lisa with their 3 children and 4 grandchildren; and her daughter Jakki and her husband Jim Bourgault, with their 3 children.

Pat’s memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at St. Peter Claver Church. An Internment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery and a reception immediately after at the home of her grandson Jeremy located at 2386 Fitzgerald Road. A recitation of the rosary will be held the previous evening, Friday April 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rose family funeral home with a celebration of life immediately following. All of the above locations are in Simi Valley.
