Paul Pohlman, 70, passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Manhattan, NY, Paul was raised in Queens Village, NY. Before moving to California, Paul and his wife lived in both New Jersey and Ohio. He completed an MBA from Bernard Baruch College (Manhattan, NY). During his accomplished career in construction management, Paul was involved in the development of highprofile buildings in New York City, Columbus, OH and Los Angeles. During his almost 40 years in California he managed work on the Ventura County Government Center, California Plaza, and Griffith Observatory among other projects. Paul employed his unique education and experience in the founding and building of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Westlake Village, where he remained an active parishioner until his death. Paul’s celebration of life will be held Tuesday, November 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 5801 Kanan Rd. Westlake Village, CA 91362. The graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Assumption Cemetery, 1380 Fitzgerald Rd., Simi Valley, CA.
