Penny Ann Brown

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Penny Ann Brown, 62, on January 18, 2014.

Penny was born April 23, 1951 to Peter and Pauline Amore in Ohio. She moved to California with her family in 1959 and attended Valley View Junior High School, Simi Valley High School & Canoga Park High School, graduating in 1969.

She married her high school sweetheart, Larry Brown, on February 28, 1970. She became a mother on January 4, 1973 when her son Zebben Brown was born, followed by the birth of her second son, Aaron Brown, on March 30, 1976. She was a loving, talented mother and wife who loved to read, sew, quilt, garden, paint, cook, travel, and adored her children and grandchildren.

Penny is survived by her husband, her two sons, her three grandchildren (Melaina, Camden & Shelby), her two brothers (Tom & Bob Amore), her sister (Paulette), as well as her many friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but never forgotten for how she touched so many hearts with her kind and caring demeanor.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25 at 1:00 PM at the Rose Family Funeral Home in Simi Valley. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to the Humane Society.
