Robert Elder

Born on August 17,1931 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Simi Valley on March 6, 2014. Bob worked 34 years for Georgia Pacific Corp. After retiring he served the city of Simi Valley for 12 years as a crossing guard where he was affectionately known as Grandpa Bob. He is survived by his wife Beverly Elder, his children Dayna Higa, Gregg Elder, Kirk Elder and 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and he is preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Elder. Services for Bob will be held on Monday, March 10 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 5028 Cochran Street, Simi Valley with a viewing preceeding the service at 10:00 am. Assisting the family with arrangements is the family owned and operated Rose Family Funeral Home and Cremation of Simi Valley.
