Robert Martin

December 24, 1941 — May 9, 2019

Robert (Bob) Noel Martin, 77 of Blanchard, Oklahoma peacefully made his final journey home surrounded by family in Simi Valley, California on May 9, 2019. He was born on December 24, 1941 in Berkeley, California to Billie (Collins) and Harold Martin. Bob grew up in Woodland Hills, California and attended Canoga Park High School. Immediately after graduating from high school in 1959, he began his career at Litton Guidance Control systems, but his career was interrupted as he answered to a greater calling and that was to serve his country. As a proud American, Bob served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. Once returning home, he resumed his career at Litton and raised a family. Bob was an avid reader, who especially enjoyed spy novels. He was also a man’s man and there was nothing he couldn’t build or fix. He was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and live off the land. He had a passion for working on cars, especially older Chevys and Fords. He is survived by his daughters Christine Fisher (Hugh), her children Michael Fisher, Nicholas Fisher, Ashley Fisher; Holli Finley (Dan), her children Daniel Finley, Meagan Russo (Vince) and Dylan Finley; and his son Robert Martin (Fay), his children Shannon Malcolm, Ryan Malcolm; his step-daughter Gena Broome (Larton) and her children, Natasha Broome, Alana Broome and Amya Broome; and his sister Sally Guy (Hal), and his niece Sandra Guy. He is preceded in death by his longtime love, Rosemary Grundeis. The family wishes to thank everyone for their loving messages of condolences and care. Memorial services are private.
