Robert Mitchell Richards III

Robert Mitchell Richards III passed away on April 10, 2021, at the age of 77. He was a beloved husband, son, father, brother, and friend to many.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, October 9, 1943, Robert lived a life marked by devotion to family, dedication to charities, and hard work. He spent much of his life in California, where he built lasting relationships and made a meaningful impact on those around him.

Robert loved his family deeply and made it a priority to provide a good life for his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Amie Jean Richards (born Amelia Jean Hlad); his son, Brian Robert Richards, and daughter-in-law, Katie Richards; his daughters, Dawn Denise Sproul and Kimberly Michelle Russell, and son-in-law, Jeremy Russell; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Richards, Kaylie Sproul, Riley Richards, Jacob Russell, and Ethan Russell; and his step-grandchildren, Erik Madsen, Anya Madsen, and Nicholas Madsen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mitchell Richards II; his mother, Dorothy Alma Richards; his sister, Virginia Scalzitti; and his brother, James Richards. Robert has two surviving siblings, Edward Richards and Trudy Nail.
