Romualdas “Romie” Jagminas Jr. age 76 of Newbury Park, CA passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, surrounded by his family, after a fierce and courageous fight against Glioblastoma.
Romie was born in Kempten Germany and after a few years he and his family moved to the states. He grew up in Bridgewater MA until he and his family moved to California in 1992.
Romie was employed through Disney Studios for 15 years. He was employed at several other studios over his long career as a broadcast engineer.
Romie loved to tinker, he enjoyed working on rebuilding anything from cars to boats. He loved the ocean and spending time on his boat while enjoying a nice cigar. Classic car nut, He was very passionate about music and had an extensive record collection; he would revel in finding the classics and niche sounds to add to his record shelf. He was very family oriented and loved nothing more than making those he cared about laugh. He would say something and look around with a smile waiting for you to crack up with him. He brought so much joy and a smile to the face of everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife DeborahJagminas, his daughters Kristina Broadbent, Jessica Hart, son Romualdas Jagminas III, grandchildren, Madison Olive, John E. Broadbent III, Emma Wilson, Sophie Broadbent, great grandson Mason Meyers, his mother Margarita Jagminas, brothers Eugene Jagminas and his family, Dr. Ludi Jagminas and his family. Romie is predeceased by his father Romualdus and daughter Amy.
A celebration of life will be held on May 17 from 3-5pm.
