Roy Lee Larsen

Roy Lee Larson was born July 3, 1939, on the family farm near the small town of Bradgate, IA. After graduating high school, he went to Minneapolis, MN to learn what he could about the transportation business as exports and imports interested him. His first job in the transportation field was with Gambles Skogmo. While in Minneapolis he met his future wife Janice, who also happened to be from a small town close to where he grew up. They were married on June 21, 1959, in Iowa. Their two sons, Brian and Todd were born in Minneapolis in the years to follow. In January 1968 Roy transfer to Burbank, CA for work. He moved his family to Simi Valley August 1968, the very weekend the freeway open from Topanga to Kuehner. Roy enjoyed traveling and visited many countries and all but 2 states. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, sons Brian and Todd (Stacy), Grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Anthony) Virzi, Lauren (Corey) Salas, Ashlyn Larsen, Jordan Larsen, Jeffrey Larsen, great grandchildren Camden, Maci and Cooper Virzi, along with his little buddy Max.
