Sharon Kay Chavez

Sharon Chavez, of Thousand Oaks, California, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on August 24, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, whose kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched all who knew her.

Born on September 3, 1945, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Sharon dedicated her life to nurturing her family and supporting those around her. She had an infectious laugh, a gentle heart, and a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether hosting family gatherings, offering a listening ear, or lending a helping hand, Sharon brought light and love into every room she entered.

Throughout her life, Sharon found joy in creating beautiful flower arrangements, enjoyed music and giving back to her community — whether by volunteering her time or using her creativity to help create unforgettable memories. As a mother and grandmother, she was deeply devoted — always present, always cheering on her family through every milestone, big or small. Sharon’s strength, resilience, and unwavering love were evident in all she did.

She is survived by her beloved husband, David; her two sons, Ron and David; her siblings, Terry and Ronda; and her eight grandchildren — Ryan, Jared, Zachary, Jordyn, Jessica, Tyler, Aiden, and Presley — along with many nieces and nephews who will all carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Rose Family Funeral Home, where friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance. To RSVP, please call 805-908-1339 by September 20, 2025.
