Sheila F. Maley, age 80, of Thousand Oaks, California, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Westlake Village, California, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PST, with Father Jim Stehly officiating. Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. PST at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks – Griffin Memorial Park, Westlake Village, California.

Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Maley Family Residence, 1434 Suffolk Ave., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring light refreshments and food.

A Catholic Rosary will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Maley Family Residence, 1434 Suffolk Ave., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360. Rose Family Funeral Home of Simi Valley, California, is handling the funeral arrangements.

Sheila was born on October 4, 1945, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Lillian Brookes and Edward Coleman.

Sheila was a loving and devoted wife, Mom, and Nana, whose life centered on her family. She worked as an elementary school teacher’s aide at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic School, where she served with patience, kindness, and dedication.

Her love and devotion to her family were profound and unwavering. Sheila traveled the world several times, embracing new experiences with joy and curiosity. She especially cherished time spent with her best friend and husband, James, as well as with her children and grandchildren. She loved music of all genres, found peace in gardening, and delighted in bringing her family together.

Sheila is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, James J. Maley, and her three children, Colleen Maley (Chris Mikkelsen), Jennifer Maley, and Ryan Maley (Roxanne Maley). She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Ashley Schultz, Madison Schultz, and Landon Maley.
