Shirley Ann Baldiga (Reid)

Shirley Baldiga , 77, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 14th, 2015. She was born April 29th, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Thomas and Bertha Tripp.

She attended UCLA, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She later went on to earn her Master of Arts in Education from California Lutheran College. She taught kindergarten at Crestview Elementary, Simi Valley, and after she retired she continued teaching as a substitute.

She loved being with family and friends and she loved to travel. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Thomas Rives. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Rives and Shirlene Spata, son-­in-­law Eugene Spata, grand children, Cristal Rives, Daniel Rives, and Anthony Spata, and great granddaughters Alana, Isabel, and Brooklyn.

A memorial service will be at Simi Covenant Church, 4680 Alamo St., Simi Valley, Ca., at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the cancer charity of your choice.
