In Loving Memory of Teresa Marjorie Ofria Matthews 

April 8, 1930 – April 25, 2025 

Born on April 8, 1930, on the family ranch in Canoga Park, California, Teresa was the beloved daughter of Sicilian immigrants Rosario Ofria and Mary Carmen (née Milici). She spent her childhood in Canoga Park, where she later met and married, Don Matthews.Together, they had two children in the San Fernando Valley: Donald (Susan) Matthews, and Marianne (Rick) Grey. She was a proud grandmother to Dan (Elizabeth) Matthews, Donna (Christopher) Pyfer, Tony (Jenifer) Grey, and Matthew (Kirsten) Grey. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Ashley and Aiden Matthews, Stella, Danielle, and Walker Pyfer, Tony and Marco Grey, and Matthew and Jeremiah Grey.Teresa was lovingly cared for in her final years by the devoted staff at Laurel Heights Senior Living in Moorpark, CA. Family was always at the heart of her life—when she wasn’t surrounded by them, she spoke of them often and missed them deeply.She passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, a grace granted by the Lord.A memorial service will be held on October 29, 2025, to ensure that all who loved her have the opportunity to gather and honor her memory.
