Thomas Gregory Ford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and brother Thomas Gregory Ford.

Thomas was born May 4th, 1937 in San Diego, CA to Chester Harold Ford and June Gearey. He served in the navy and worked for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and retired in 1994.

He was a man with a big heart opening his house to anyone needing a place to stay. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and family celebrations. Tom enjoyed working in the backyard caring for his many trees, fish, cat, and hunting with Maya; his dog. Hosting Superbowl Sunday and making his famous chilli was a yearly event. His biggest gift to the family was encouraging everyone to attend college. He felt that education was very important.

He is survived by his loving wife Yolanda of 43 years, sister Beverly, children: Kathy, Luana, and Brenda; grandchildren: Hannah, Rachel, and Bailey; and his nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 25th from 5-9pm at Rose Family Funeral.

Catholic Mass will be at 11am on Friday May 26th, St. Rose of Lima Church. Followed by the burial at Assumption Cemetery.
