Timothy Lee Ibbotson

Celebration of Life for Timothy Lee Ibbotson.

Timothy was born in Panorama City, CA on September 28, 1966 and died on August 5, 2026 in West Hills, CA.

He is survived by his son Moses Matthew Ibbotson; His father Eddie Jerrel Ibbotson (Step-mom Rosie); His siblings David, Danita, Jonathan, and Anikka.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Danika Lee Ibbotson; his brother Jason Quinn Ibbotson; and his dear mother Debora Gail Ibbotson.

Tim grew up in Simi Valley, CA, and was an incredibly talented artist and musician. There was hardly an instrument he couldn't play if given the opportunity. He wrote several songs and founded the band Boys N Berry Jam, where his sister, Danita, served as the lead singer. In 1983, he designed the Highlander logo for Royal High School, and the design remained in use by the school for many years.

In the early 1990s, Tim worked for Cyberdreams in Woodland Hills, where he created artwork for computer games including CyberRace and Dark Seed, collaborating on projects that featured the visionary designs of Syd Mead (Tron) and H.R. Giger (Alien). Later, he moved to Oakhurst, Ca, to work for ImagiNation Network. It was there that he welcomed his two beloved children, Danika and Moses Matthew.

Tim loved karaoke nights and freestyling on the microphone, often delighting everyone around him by breaking into the splits. Anyone who met Tim would tell you that he was a kind and generous soul who would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. One cherished memory is how he would pick flowers from the neighbor's yard and bring them home as gifts.

Later in life, Tim devoted much of his artistic talent to creating hand-drawn portrait commissions. He loved the music of Prince and Jimi Hendrix, cheered passionately for the Lakers, and above all else, loved his family and his beautiful children.

The loss of Tim, so soon after the loss of our mother, has been almost more than we can bear. Yet we find comfort in knowing that Tim's legacy lives on through the miracle of organ donation. On August 5, 2026, we walked behind Tim as his favorite song, Purple Rain, played through the halls. Countless UCLA medical staff, doctors, and nurses lined the corridor to honor his gifts. It was a profound tribute to a profoundly talented and compassionate man who shared all he had to offer until the very end.

We love you, Tim. May you rest in peace with our Lord, reunited once again with Mom, Jason, and Danika.
