Timothy Welsh

Described as a friend by everyone he met, Timothy Martin Welsh, of Westlake Village, California passed away on Thursday, October 24 at the age of fifty-eight after a twenty-two month battle with brain cancer.

Timothy was born at California Hospital in Los Angeles on September 14, 1955, to Robert and Maxine Welsh. Timothy grew up in Bellflower California where he played baseball and football, graduating from Pius X high school in 1973. He then attended Cerritos College where he played catcher for the 1975 State Championship Team before beginning his thirty-eight year career in the construction industry.

An avid skier, Timothy moved his young family to the San Bernardino Mountains in the early 1980's where he taught skiing, coached football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and softball as he built his career and raised his children. In 2005, Timothy and his wife Melanie moved with their two youngest daughters to Westlake Village.

A member of Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, Timothy was actively involved in the lives of his six children and eight grandchildren. He continued to love skiing and enjoyed his annual "guys" ski/superbowl trip to Tahoe or Mammoth with his high school friends from Pius X.

Timothy is survived by his wife Melanie, his children Jason (Claudia) Welsh, Shannon Welsh, Timothy Speckman, Rashell (Joshua) Parkhurst, Allison (Alex) Kuyumjian, CarlyAnn Welsh; grandchildren Hannah Speckman, Jacob Dalton, Mia Welsh, Brayden Dalton, Ava Welsh, Keaton Parkhurst, Juliana Parkhurst, and Aleczander Kuyumjian, and his sister Theresa (Rod) Felix.

A memorial service and reception will be held for Timothy at Calvary Community Church, 5495 Via Rocas, Westlake Village, CA on Saturday, November 2 at 1 o'clock pm. Internment will be private.
