Tommie Rebecca Owen

Tommie Rebecca Owen passed away May 24, 2016 in Simi Valley at the age of 90.

Funeral service will be held at Crown Point Baptist Church located at 2350 Shasta way, SImi Valley, California 93065 on June 3, 2016 at 10:30am Graveside services will be private.

Tommie was born in Honey Grove Texas to Lydia and Jessie Barnhardt on January 16, 1926. She went to Burbank High School and graduated in 1942. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 8 years where she met her husband Paul , then as a Secretary for 20 years at Light and Life Christian School and 30 years as a Teachers Assistant at Williams Elementary School. She enjoyed reading, gardening and the Dallas Cowboys.

Tommie is survived by three children Dan, Kathie and Donna, four grandchildren Chloe, Cyrus and Luke. She is preceded in death by her spouse of 63 years, Paul Owen.
