William Kimmick

William Louis Kimmick, 92, of Silver City, New Mexico, passed away on July 9, 2013 peacefully. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on July 15, 2013 at Simi Valley United Methodist Church. Reverend Andy Mattick will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on July 14, 2013 at Rose Family Funeral Home. William was born in Silver City, New Mexico, on June 22, 1921. He graduated from Silver City High School. He Joined the navy in December of 1941 and served on LST 459 in the south Pacific until 1945. He started work for the city of Los Angles as a laborer in 1945 rising to a supervisor in the traffic signal department. William married Inez in 1948. They had three children Don, Randy and Debra. William was active in the YMCA and his local church. William married Freda in 1975. They traveled extensively and were active in the Simi Valley United Methodist Church. William is survived by his brother, his children, his grandchildren, and his great grandchildren, and his great great grandchild.
