Yolanda Joan Arnau

Yolanda Joan Arnau was born in Sun Valley, CA on March 2, 1957. Born to Luis Hernandez Ascensio and Eva Espalin with four sisters and one brother. Pat Dempsey, Lorraine MacGregor, Virginia Cuellar, Dianna Hernandez, Luis Ascensio Jr. She attended Glenwood elementary school and graduated from Verdugo High School.

Yolanda married her Jr. High School sweetheart Gines Arnau at 20 yrs of age. They had two children, Michelle Antionette Arnau and Gines Arnau Jr. V, four grandchildren and one great grandchild with another one on the way in July 2025. Brianna M. Rodriguez, Brian Davies and Gines Arnau VI and Aliyah Arnau. Great grandchild Korra Polacci. Yolanda and her husband would be celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary this August 13, 20205. Yolanda continued to support and care for all her kids and grandchildren & great grandchildren with an abundance of love.

Besides raising her children and grandchild Brianna, she graduated from Medical Assistant Valley College and worked in the medical billing field. Before becoming disabled from a back issue among other illnesses. Yolanda loved to travel as she spent time in Canada, France, Spain, Hawaii-Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Mt Shasta, Georgia, etc. She enjoyed camping and off-road adventures in Big Bear, Pismo Beach, Ocotillo Wells, etc. Yolanda was a very spiritual person, as she meditated and prayed often as she was aware of the ascension process. Also, known for being very pragmatic she was a realist. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and would make a point to face time the grandchildren daily. Amazingly courageous women as she survived the Whipple Procedure, which probably extend her life for maybe another 9 months, although it was very painful existence after the procedure. Yolanda loved the energy of the Ocean and when her husband passes, she wants our ashes to be scattered in the Ocean together.

Yolanda raised her children and spent her last years living in their home in Agoura Hills, CA. She passed away at home and took her last breath while holding the hands of her daughter and husband on March 11, 2025 2:56 AM
