Lee Michael Neilson

Lee Michael Neilson, 42, of Simi Valley, California, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in Long Beach, California.

Graveside service will be held at Hyde Park Cemetery in August, 2026 and a local memorial at a date and time TBD. Burial will follow at Hyde Park Cemetery in Hyde Park, Utah.

Michael was born in Simi Valley, California to Jan and Sandra Neilson on October 6, 1983. He attended Simi Valley and Royal High Schools and graduated in 2002. Michael played varsity basketball and was a gifted athlete. He also enjoyed skateboarding, swimming, and motorcycles. He worked as a server for Chili’s and Olive Garden as well as other employment in carpentry and meatpacking. Michael enjoyed the association of many friends throughout his life. He adored children and loved being with his nieces and nephews, who also loved him.

Michael is survived by his parents, Jan and Sandra Neilson, of Simi Valley, CA; his sister, Kristin (Jeff) Jagard, of Simi Valley, CA; his brother Benjamin (Mary) Neilson, of Harrisville, UT; and his sisters, Maryann (Andres) Parada; and Stephanie (Timothy) Holguin, both of Bakersfield, CA.; and his 18 nieces and nephews, Joseph, Daniel, William, James, Lucas, Christina, Charlotte, Rachel, Oliver, Marcus, Antonio, Evelina, Reyce, Tatiauna, Wesley, Alexander, Jett, and Timothy.
